Today I would like to converse about the position of unpopularity. By definition unpopularity is the total opposite of popular. One definition is to be unknown, disliked or un received. For the reason of something is not received can be based on it’s appearance, something that appears dull or unwelcome. Now, in the word of God there was a prophet name Elijah. He was unknown by the general public. For his purpose was awaken when sin had become prevalent and there was no repentance in the land. At this place, out of nowhere, He appeared speaking to the king, declaring unto him because of the sins in his land, rain will not come down for two an a half years. He also stated,” accordingly to his word”. This thing would not happen. Now, look at this, here comes a Man unknown to the public but because of sin, he Shut up the heavens. And as a result of bringing bad news to the king , He became unpopular and dislike by the authority figure in the land. For the prophet knew the king had the power to take life just by speaking a word for this reason after he delivered his message, he ran for his life and hid under a juniper tree. However, What I love about God, when you stand in your position as a believer against Un righteousness. The impact of exposing sin may cause you to hide under a juniper tree. But while you are under your juniper tree experience God will send an angel to touch you. Not only will he send you an angel but he will send a Raven, the most unpopular bird in the world to sustain you. A bird typified of those people that are considered dead, un wanted and selfish. God will cause them to supply your natural needs. For, the word the Lord does declare,” when a man ways please God, he will make his enemies at peace with him”. So, if you are sensitive to God’s voice. And because you have obeyed his voice but you find yourself all alone. Please do not allow your loneliness to effect your vocation in God. For the word of God states,” woe unto you when all men shall speak well of you. For so did their fathers to the false prophets. Know this! If men hated Jesus without a cause as his seed, they are going to hate you! Because to be a friend of the world is to be an enemy against God. For the word of the lord says,” fear not nor be dismayed, at their faces for I will protect you and sustain you.” Be encouraged! You may feel unpopular with the administration or principality in this world system. However, I declare unto you, obey God’s command. For, your unpopularity on earth is popularity in the kingdom of God. Therefore, speak to Ahab! Tell him because of his sins. His kingdom shall be destroyed!
