WHO WILL YOU WORSHIP THE GIFTS OR GOD
Today we live in day where people love to be worshipped. In competitive events, we strive to be the best that we may be put on a pedestal. In every phase of life, we strive to be acknowledge for our accomplishments. Now, do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with striving to be the best in your endeavors. However, the trap of accomplishments, comes when an individual feels through their gifted efforts separates them from the normal. Immediately, at that place, a wicked seed comes in and man forgets about God. This attitude of emotion will cause a person to think they are superior to everyone is called Pride. The highest-ranking angel Lucifer fell from grace, because of Pride. God had given him everything underneath him, but he allowed his position and gift puff him up. He thought he could be as God. And in his haughtiness he was cast down. Beloved, this same seed comes up in man when, he allows his abilities to puff him up. Let me give you an example: In the word; there was a man who was rich man. He lived a life men would only dream to live. But sadly, his demise came, when he paid all his attention to his worldly possession’s, and forgot about God, the giver of those things. In his greed, he decided to tear down his barn and build a larger one. Just to store up all his possession that he might eat drink and be merry. But hear comes the reward of his greed. The word of the Lord came to him declaring” O’ fool, this day your soul, I will require.” You see! God will allow you to go to your highest but if you do not acknowledge him in your climb. He will pull the rug out from under you. He will take away everything; you have earned, just to let you know with out him, you cannot do anything. Clearly the lesson, I want to express to the people of the most high God. Please! do not worship a gift. That also applies to the usage of spiritual gifts, the word of wisdom knowledge or prophecy. For these are God’s gifts! not yours! Beloved, the gifts you are allowed to operate, in the church are only borrowed. For God gave you a gift, to help souls come into his kingdom. That he be glorified, which will give him praise. Just like the young Prophet, at the school of Prophets who was taught by Elisha. There came a time where the young man was chopping wood, to build a larger sanctuary. All of a sudden, his axe head fell in the water. He went to Elisha for help. And The Prophet asked him, “Where did it fall”? The young Prophet responded back replying,” For it was borrowed! Here! In this story, we need to understand, that the axe head, was a gift, given to build a larger sanctuary, for the kingdom of God. God cautions you on this wise. For, if, you are not a wise Stewart, over his treasure, in which, he has entrusted you to protect he can take it away. Please! Worship the Giver of your gifts. For I declare unto you, it is trap sent by the adversary to separate man from God, by you worshipping temporal things!
